Alternate Assessment

The Rise Up! Curriculum is a thematic and skills-based framework for our Standardized and Alternate Assessed students in grades K-8. The five units of study span from September through June incorporating the Next Generational Learning Standards to enhance reading & writing skills, learning targets, guiding questions, and vocabulary words necessary for our students to be successful. Each respective grade level is also provided with weekly/unit resources and relevant text that can be accessed via on Google Drive. Our units of study are as followed:

Unit 1- Personal Narrative (September- October)

Unit 2 -The Art of Storytelling (November-December)

Unit 3-Expository/Procedural Reading and Writing (January-February)

Unit 4- Rising Skills/Poetry (March-April)

Unit 5 -Opinion/Argumentative (May-June)
